Is the Author of A Course In Miracles actually Jesus Christ of Nazareth as He declares Himself to be?
In other words, did Jesus really dictate A Course In Miracles to Helen Schucman who, along with William Thetford, did scribe the Text, Workbook and Manual for Teachers of A Course In Miracles? The first words Helen received from this inner dictation were: "This is a course in miracles, please take notes." So, was the source really Jesus Christ?
"The Author justifies and maintains his identity in no uncertain terms. He declares that He is indeed the historic Jesus of Nazareth whose resurrection guarantees our salvation and return to Heaven. He asserts, as in The New Testament, that He has always abode in each of us, and in fact, abides with us at this very moment.
What an astonishing idea! Could this possibly be true? Our answer is a resounding “Yes!” We have become positive in our hearts and minds of this incredible truth. He is wholly and positively the man who walked this earth 2000 years ago. He speaks to us from our Home in Heaven. We celebrate our own rebirth through His divine instructions in The New Testament and His Course In Miracles. He is indeed with us now, and has shown us the miracle of our own impending resurrection. The Light grows brighter as we depart this World of darkness and death."
